Jorge Lavos da Costa is the new Executive Chef of the group and will be responsible for the different hotels: Pine Cliffs Resort, Sheraton Cascais Resort, YOTEL Porto and Hyatt Regency Lisboa which will open soon.
Before joining the UIP family, Jorge was the Executive Chef of the JW Marriott Bosphorus Istanbul, in Turkey. His curriculum gathers experience in different luxury hotel chains, namely The Ritz Carlton in Barcelona, Tenerife and New York, Armani Hotel in Dubai and Conrad Hotel in South Korea.
Chef Jorge Costa supervises all the culinary operations of the group’s different hotel units, being responsible for managing the Chefs of the different areas, in all the restaurants. His role will also include ensuring the quality of ingredients and products, analysing and guaranteeing the creativity of the menus and gastronomic concepts, and managing the team’s performance, ensuring menu rotation and seasonality, and the processes optimization.
