In an interview to Dinheiro Vivo journal, Carlos Leal, UIP’s General Manager, talks about the pandemic’s impact on the different group’s properties.
The opening of the air corridor between UK and Portugal was one of the topics. The impact on Pine Cliffs Resort bookings, in Algarve, with a 56% growth in less than one week.
UIP’s responsible, also refers the importance that this market will have to YOTEL Porto, with opening scheduled for this year, and for Sheraton Cascais Resort, whose influence on the last years’ growth has been positive.
Despite all the losses caused by the pandemic, Carlos Leal affirms that UIP is getting ready for the future and the perspectives are optimistic. With a view on innovative solutions to attract new markets and clients, the group continues to develop new investments, having scheduled for this quarter the presentation of Hyatt Regency Lisboa‘s show unit and with Quinta Marques Gomes, in Gaia, having real estate sales above the average.
In the same conversation with the journal, the General Manager presented his point of view to protect and recover the tourism sector and what are the solutions that he would like to see implemented.
