Pine Cliffs Resort and Sheraton Cascais Resort win for the first time Haute Grandeur Awards

Pine Cliffs Resort, located in Albufeira, and Sheraton Cascais Resort, in Cascais, were, for the first time, recognized in 2021 edition of the Haute Grandeur Awards, considered one of the international reference awards for the tourism sector. In total, Pine Cliffs Resort collected 12 awards and Sheraton Cascais Resort won in nine categories.

Pine Cliffs Resort, was elected “Best Golf Resort” of the world and “Best Destination Wedding Retreat”, “Best Family Villa” and “Best Honeymoon Hideaway Resort” of Europe. Located on the top of Falesia Beach and with a stunning sea view, Pine Cliffs Resort is an authentic hideaway in the south of Portugal, set in 72 hectares of pine trees and verdant gardens, it has a wide range of unique experiences to enjoy with family, friends or as a couple.

Maré at Pine Cliffs, the beach restaurant of the Pine Cliffs Resort located on Falesia Beach, was also distinguished with eight awards: “Best Scenic Setting” and “Best Seafood Restaurant” worldwide, “Best Entertainment Restaurant”, “Best Portuguese Cuisine” and “Best Waterside Restaurant” in Europe and “Best Luxury Beachside Restaurant”, “Best Resort Restaurant” and “Best Restaurant View” in Portugal.

Sheraton Cascais Resort, located in the exclusive Quinta da Marinha, in Cascais, was awarded with four distinctions: “Best Serviced Apartments” in the world, “Best Corporate Resort”, “Best Luxury Hotel Apartments” and “Best Resort Hotel” in Europe. The resort’s perfect setting, in full harmony with nature, the luxury experience it provides in the different accommodation units and the offer of different spaces for events were, without a doubt, decisive for the awarding of the prizes.

The Glass Terrace, Sheraton Cascais Resort’s restaurant led by Chef Pedro Rebelo dos Santos, was also recognized as the “Best Entertainment Restaurant” in the world, “Best Hotel Restaurant” and “Best Resort Restaurant” in Europe, and also “Best Garden Restaurant” and “ Best Mediterranean Cuisine” from Portugal.

The Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards were created in 2014 by Marinique De Wet with the aim of honoring, independently and impartially, the excellence projects of the hotel industry, worldwide. Winners are elected through an unbiased voting process, based on an assessment by a panel of guests.
